Morven Hotel Colombo

The rooftop pool was a highlight, offering stunning views over the ocean. The friendly front desk staff went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable, right down to managing our requests with a smile.

The rooms were a decent size and we could park on-site. The hotel had a particularly good location next to National Zoological Gardens of Sri Lanka. The very attentive and caring staff made it a pleasurable place to stay.

The city view from the room was quite nice and added a bit of charm to the otherwise basic accommodations. Breakfast had a decent selection, but I didn't get to fully enjoy it due to some other issues.

The doors in my room were broken, and the whole place felt a bit run down. The ceiling fan was caked with dust, and the TV didn't work at all. The staff seemed untrained, a letdown. The music in the hallways was distracting and annoying, especially late at night. I ran into issues like a lack of food availability in the evening, and the hot chocolate I ordered was disappointing. It tasted thin and watery. The whole experience was a mix of some decent aspects overshadowed by maintenance and administrative issues.

Very spacious bed in double room with tea/coffee making equipment, cable channels and a writing desk. Unbeatable and magnificent location, walking distance to everywhere.

Cool true boutique hotel, good views over the ocean of Colombo. Great and fab location - a couple of blocks away from Liberty Plaza. Found in the great area just off Colombo Fort as well as shopping area🙂

Very incompetent staff!

Had a fine view from the Superior King Room with City View. Unfortunately, service was slow during check-in and requests.

The room I stayed in had a amazing view of the ocean, and breakfast offered delicious local options that kept me satisfied. The rooftop pool and sun terrace were perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. Just a minor note, the check-in process could be a bit smoother. 🌅

Recommend for spending night

Comfortable room, good breakfast, with a great selection of local dishes including curries and coconut sambal, and a convenient location only 10 km from the seaplane base for easy travel.

Stayed for a night and loved the city view from our room. The breakfast had a fantastic selection, including fresh fruits and tasty pastries. Just a bit noisy at night since it's near the junction. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The swimming pool on the roof was fantastic, and I really appreciated having bacon and eggs at the breakfast buffet, which exceeded my expectations. The central location made it easy to explore the area, and the room wassuper clean and cozy.

Some areas need better cleaning.
